Annie Duke mightn’t have won her first WSOP Bracelet until ‘04 but she remains one of the most feared poker players at the ring matches at The Bellagio in sin city. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "buried game" of Omaha hi/low.
While players from the "younger generation" of poker go crazy following a big win at the tournament, Annie goes back home to be "mom" to her 4 kids. However, Mrs. Duke is no small change girl and has captured her share of difficult tables, which includes knocking out Howard a few times along the way. They are both competitors that have the capability to capture the huge money and do so with a grin.
Annie Duke is a tough competitor at any table because she is a genuine poker player, but it is a little more than just being great at the game. Annie is extremely smart and graduated from Columbia University where she double majored in English and Psychology.
When you sit across from her at the poker table you will see she is there to compete in the game and she starts "sizing" you up from the time you approach the table. If you can not gamble like a camp, then do not bother.
