Howard Lederer was born into in a family of five where he liked taking part in different card games at a young age. He found himself becoming really competitive in these card games while playing his father. Howard Lederer also helped his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. Annie Duke was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the proper decision. Howard Lederer told Annie to move out to Sin City and compete in the World Series of Poker tournaments. Annie Duke is one of the strongest female players the poker arena today. He moved to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and played cash games for the successive 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard made the decision to play more tournaments.
