Hold’em is simply about players and position. All rounded Holdem players agree that seating in no cutoff Texas Hold’em is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in late spot may be certainly more beneficial than in starting poker position. This is seeing that much more information is gathered before acting.
i.e., I was playing a $1-$2 no limit cash round at a local poker room. I came in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier button, so I could partake in some fun. Flop came down A-A-4. A bettor in early position laid a $15 bet. Two entrants drop out and it was now my turn to act. I should have folded, but his betting felt a bit off. I ID’d this guy as a weak-tight player, and normally if he held the best hand he would only check, so I called.
The turn arrived with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My competitor laid a further bet of $20. I hesitated for a while, but made a decision to re-raise a further $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I won the money.
Betting at late position allows you an idea where you sit by seeing how other players carry oneself and wager. On the other hand, enthusiasts at early spot could use their poker spot to check-raise the late seated competitors and corner them afterwords at the end. In Texas Hold’em, each spots, late and early must be wagered cautiously.
