Online poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a figure in accordance with the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pays chips equal to your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
