A Couple of of Poker’s Nice Guys

No Joke, millions of players want to be the next "big thing" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "nice guys" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his competition winnings added up to more than four and a half million dollars and he won two highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the humility to talk with his admirers about how they can improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an instructional video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life earnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in poker and between 2000 to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in more than one hundred competitions. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career earnings are just about six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned five WSOP titles with 2 of his successes coming in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to toss cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tourney winnings exceeded five million dollars.
